KARBA makes furniture and metalwork to order. This page explains what personal information we collect through karbafactory.com, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We have kept it short and in plain language.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry through a form on this site, we receive the details you type: your name, phone number, email address, the topic you choose, your message, and which product or service page you wrote from. We use this only to answer you and to prepare a quote.
We do not sell anything on this website and we take no payments here, so card and banking details never reach us.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit the site and which pages they read. It tells us about visits, not about individuals — your IP address is shortened before it is stored, and we cannot identify you from it. Google’s own terms apply: policies.google.com/privacy
Cookies
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep. This site uses very few, and only one of them is set without asking you first.
- pll_language — remembers which language you chose, so you are not sent back to English on every page. It is set as soon as you arrive, because a bilingual site cannot work without it. It expires after a year.
- _ga and _ga_2C02PL49RM — Google Analytics. They count visits and show us which pages are read. They are only set if you choose Accept on the cookie notice. They expire after two years.
Until you accept, Google Analytics runs without cookies and cannot recognise you from one visit to the next. If you decline — or accept and later change your mind — the analytics cookies are deleted from your browser.
You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link at the foot of any page, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site works the same either way.
We set no advertising cookies and nothing is shared with advertisers.
Map
The contact page shows a Google map of our workshop. It is only fetched when you scroll down to it, and when it is fetched Google receives your IP address. The map sets no cookie of its own. Google’s own terms apply: policies.google.com/privacy
Messenger
If you use the chat button, the conversation takes place on Facebook Messenger and is covered by Meta’s privacy policy rather than this one.
Who else sees your information
Your enquiry is stored on this website and emailed to us. Our hosting company keeps the site and its database on their servers. Nobody else receives it. We do not sell or rent your details to anyone.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as we may reasonably need them — normally up to two years — so that we can pick up an earlier conversation. Ask us and we will delete yours sooner.
Your rights
You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Send us a message and we will respond.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
