The studio

KARBA is a family metal, wood and MDF workshop in Gardabani, Georgia. We make high-quality, one-off pieces — gates, fences, furniture and design objects — for interiors and exteriors, from a first sketch to a finished, installed result.

Founded and led by Mariam Karbaia — Georgia's only professional female welder — everything is drawn, cut, welded, coated and assembled under one roof. Nothing is outsourced.

We take on the awkward, one-off commissions other shops turn away, and build them properly. That willingness to make the difficult thing is the whole point.
